Ron Helus, the sergeant who confronted the California bar mass shooter, died a hero, sheriff says:

"He was willing to sacrifice his life for the sake of others.” Arriving on scene at the Borderline Bar and Grill in Thousand Oaks, and hearing gunfire, Helus and a highway patrol officer entered the building, and Helus was "was struck multiple times with gunfire;” the officer dragged Helus out of the line of fire, but Helus did not survive.
