The police, via it's spokesman, Jimoh Moshood, an acting deputy commissioner of Police, has reacted to the allegations that some of the policemen deployed for combat against the brutal insurgency group, Boko Haram, fled.

It was reported that 190 of the 2000 policemen fled from facing the terrorist group, but the spokesman has debunked such information.

He made it clear that the writer who reported the news had not visited the venue of training nor witnessed the deployment of personnel, and was only operating on 'hearsay' from misguided individuals whose aim is to tamper with national interest and security.

"The Police Mobile Force (PMF) personnel have been engaged actively in the front line along with the military in the fight against Boko Haram since the inception of the insuregency" he said.
