Online encyclopedia, Wikipedia is set to take down embattled Nigerian singer, Naira Marley’s page on account of claims that he is only known for internet fraud. This is shortly after Twitter suspended his page for the same reason.
The platform opened a discussion on Naira Marley’s matter following his infamous link to internet fraud. It appears the feedback sent in by those who are utterly against internet fraud surpassed those sent in by the singer’s loyal fans. As a result, the online encyclopedia has considered taking down the singer’s page just like Twitter did some days ago.
For the singer’s Wikipedia page not to be taken down, his fans have to step in and drop positive vibes about him by dropping comments on Wikipedia, urging the platform to keep his page. But it might take a little more than just urging the platform to keep his page. They may have to be very convincing that the singer isn’t into internet fraud.
However, the chances of keeping the page from being deleted are very slim, as Naira Marley already has 9 witnesses on the row to testify against him during his next trial. He may not just lose the page. He may serve time in jail.
