The Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy took to his Twitter handle to lament over the present state of Nigeria. According to him, Nigeria is a shame and whenever he travels abroad and has to identify as a Nigerian, he feels so much shame.

The 36-year-old music producer said that despite being rich, it is difficult for him to live a good life in Nigeria. The Mavins boss, who is currently in Berlin, said he always feels he is not living the best when he visits other countries. He said that no matter how wealthy a Nigerian is, the best his wealth can create for him is “mediocre luxury.” In his words;

“That’s the thing about us in Nigeria. Is it too much faith I will call it? Or we’re just too… I don’t know the word to use. You’ll have money and you’ll just be seeing people suffering, yet your money no go sweet you spend. Our standard of living is sad. It’s not fair.No matter the amount of money you have, you will still ball mediocre balling in that Nigeria.”

Responding to a fan who told him he isn’t in Nigeria at the moment, Jazzy said; “Yeah, I am in Berlin. But I normally feel this way whenever I leave the country. No matter the country I go to, small or big, I just get ashamed for us.”
