In the first part of the series, I showed you what being judgemental means and said that in itself is not bad because it is like an internal compass. However, when it is excessive then it makes one toxic and alienates others.

This point of this article is to show you what being judgemental looks like so that if it describes you, you will become more aware of it and try to control it so that it does not mess with your relationships.

Picking up from where we left off, here are more signs of a judgemental person. Could it be you?

5. You have a low tolerance for people that don’t act like you
If the person does not reason as you do or hold to similar values as you do, you immediately become suspicious of the person, motives, and actions. You notice that you easily get irritated or assume the worst where that person is concerned.

6. You find it difficult to focus on the good
Even when you try to ignore the flaws that your mind is detecting, it is a real struggle for you. Your brain seems to have a hard time giving people the benefit of the doubt or the good in them. You seem to always expect the worst and that makes you generally negative.

7. You don’t trust easily
Due to your predominantly negative outlook, you find it difficult to trust others. Somehow, you believe people are always out to pull the rug from under your feet.

8. You struggle with self-esteem issues
Your critical nature is not turned on by others alone. You beam it on yourself as well and so you find yourself struggling with your self-image and self-worth.
