A savvy mum has uncovered a way to feed her family for less than £3 a week - and it involves a little known Morrisons hack. Rebekah Scott, from Bexleyheath, said she's managed to buy £32 worth of food for just a few pounds using a supermarket app.

The 27-year-old said the Too Good To Go app - which lets you buy unsold food from retailers to prevent it from being thrown away - has managed to save her a fortune, even in her Christmas shop.

In November, the app joined forces with Morrisons, allowing shoppers to pick up boxes of food that are approaching their expiry, for a reduced price. To use it, you simply pay through the app and get given a slot before closing time to go and pick it up.

Rebekah, 27, said in the past month, she's managed to pick up two Morrisons boxes, one full of fruit and vegetables, and the other one full of Wotsits, Kinder chocolates and even a box of Raffaello.

She posted a photo of both boxes on the Latest Deals Facebook group , each time getting hundreds of likes and encouraging comments.

"I bought the Morrisons Magic Box from an App called Too Good To Go," Rebekah explained.
"As a family of six, with four children aged three months, one, six and nine, we're always on the lookout for a bargain so at £3.09 a box we gave it a go.
"Expecting the box to contain fruit and veg that was getting past its best we were a bit skeptical but when we picked up our box we were amazed at the brilliant contents, all of which was still in date and most until next year!
