THE LEAN STARTUP

The Lean Startup method teaches you how to drive a startup-how to steer, when to turn, and when to persevere and grow a business with maximum acceleration. It is a principled approach to new product development.
Using the Lean Startup approach, companies can create order, not chaos by providing tools to test a vision continuously.

The Lean Startup methodology has as a premise that every startup is a grand experiment that attempts to answer a question. The question is not "Can this product be built?" Instead, the questions are "Should this product be built?" and "Can we build a sustainable business around this set of products and services?" This experiment is more than just a theoretical inquiry; it is the first product. If it is successful, it allows a manager to get started with his or her campaign: enlisting early adopters, adding employees to each further experiment or iteration, and eventually starting to build a product.

5 Keys to Success For Social Entrepreneurs

They do know the real value of an idea.

They hate: Behind every successful idea, there's someone who is really pissed off. For example, this entrepreneur, I mean, every year in Africa, more than one million kids die because they drink water that is not sanitized. Imagine the magnitude of the problem, more than one million kids dying every year.
Then there's this entrepreneur that found out that with a straw, it's called LifeStraw his company, he can take water through the straw and then the straw eliminates with a series of filters all the bacteria that are there, and he can manage to save the lives of tens of thousands of kids every year. Now he deserves all our respect. So he was really pissed.

They shout their existence to the world.

They are paranoid. They focus on their weaknesses, not on the things that they do good for, they focus on the weaknesses.

They look both at the social impact and money at the same time.

How can sharpening your business skills help you help others? What skills are most important.

In the business world, people skills are essential for landing clients. There are certain qualities that clients look for when hiring, working or negotiating with potential people.

I can sharpen my business skills in the following way;

Active Listening

There is a large difference between hearing someone and listening to someone. Being an active listener keeps you committed to a conversation and enables trust. Ultimately, active listening is a great indicator of good communication.

Ask Questions
Being inquisitive is helpful when building rapport. For business professionals, asking questions is a good indicator that you want to expand your knowledge and skills.

Research
Being educated isn’t enough, it’s important to consistently research factors in your field to remain updated with the newest trends. Things change from day to day and business professionals notice when you seem to be on your toes with your knowledge.

Prioritize
Prioritize everything that you do to represent your ability to be organized. Not only will your business colleagues appreciate it, it will also help you avoid chaos. When building relationships, allow yourself to be vulnerable to show another side of you. This helps display that you are personable and human.

The skill that's most important to me is Research because when I make quality research, it will help me know what to prioritize, and improve the other skills.
